Olimme alkuviikosta Porin SuomiAreenalla kysymässä nuorilta ”Mitä on hyvä elämä?”. Tämä on yksi OECD:n hallintoministerikokouksen nuorisofoorumin kysymyksistä. Porin SuomiAreenalla on noin 150 tapahtumaa ja arviolta 30 000 osallistujaa.  Pyysimme nuoria vastaamaan joko Padin kautta kysymyksiin osoitteessa www.nuortenideat.fi tai kirjoittamaan seinäkkeeseen ajatuksensa.

Porin SuomiAreenan osallistujat näyttivät olevan osin ehkä hieman varttuneempaa väkeä, mutta monet niistä nuorista, jotka olivat paikalla vastasivat kysymykseemme. Jos olit yksi heistä - suurkiitos! Oli todella mukavaa viettää aurinkoista kesäpäivää nuorten kanssa. Oli myös mukavaa olla samalla teltalla järjestöjen kanssa. Telttaa emännöi Nuorisoyhteistyö Allianssi www.alli.fi . Mukana teltalla oli muun muassa myös 4H. Heillä oli käynnissä mukava kilpailu, jossa piti tunnistaa kaksi telttaan tuotua puuta.

 Seuraava nuorisofoorumin tapahtuma meillä on elokuun puolessa välissä Helsingissä ja saman kuun lopussa olemme Kuopiossa.

We were on Tuesday and Wednesday in Pori, which is a city in western Finland. Pori hosts annually a big event with some 150 different smaller events and about 30 000 participants. We were there with our OECD Youth Forum question of “What is a good life?” We asked young people to either answer the questions online at www.nuortenideat.fi or write down their view on a board. Mari Kiviniemi from OECD also visited our tent.

 

 

   

The Pori event attracted more older people, but out of the young people who passed our tent very many answered the question. If you were one of them – many thanks from us all. It was a very nice way of spending a summer day, talking with young people in the warm sun. It was also nice to share the tent with other organisations. The host of the tent was the Finnish Youth organisation called Finnish Youth Cooperation – Allianssi. The organisation is a national service and lobbying organisation for youth work. Together with us at the tent was also the 4H organisation, which is one of the biggest youth and citizens organizations. They had a nice “Recognize this tree?” –contest.

 The next youth forum event we will have will be in Helsinki in mid-August and the one after that in Kuopio at the end of the August. All the time the questions can be answered also online at www.nuortenideat.fi
