OECD-ministerikokouksen valmistelut ovat käynnissä läpi kesän, Käytännön asioita viimeistellään, jotta kaikki olisi valmista ja sujuisi mahdollisimman hyvin lokakuussa. Tärkeää on, että ministereiden ei tarvitse välittää kokouksen organisaatiosta, vaan kaikki sujuu niin joustavasti, että he voivat keskittyä pelkästään kokouksen asioihin ja keskusteluihin.

Kesän aikana meillä on myös oman Suomen nuorisofoorumimme tilaisuuksia. Seuraava tilaisuus on Porissa Suomi Areenan aikana. Suomi Areenalla on viikon aikana noin 150 tilaisuutta 20 eri kohteessa ja osallistujia aiempina vuosina on ollut useita kymmeniä tuhansia.

Olemme siellä paikalla kaksi päivää. Ensimmäisenä päivänä kuljemme kaupungilla eri paikoissa ja pop up –tyyliin pysähdymme kysymään nuorten näkemyksiä OECD:n nuorisofoorumikysymyksiin. Toisena päivänä meidän tapaa Allianssin teltalta. Siellä kysymme erityisesti Mitä on hyvä elämä?. Näkemyksen ja ajatukset voi kirjoittaa erityiseen seinäkkeeseen. Teltalla on myös mahdollisuus Padilla osallistua sähköisesti www.nuortenideat.fi kautta nuorisofoorumiin. Jaamme myös postikortteja, joilla voi joko laittaa terveisensä tutuille teltalta tai vaikka laittaa meille terveisiä nuorisofoorumiin. Kaikki nuorisofoorumiin eri kautta tulleet viestit ovat osa Suomen tuloksia OECD:n nuorisofoorumiin.

Preparations for the OECD Public Governance Ministerial are on their way. During the summer we will be finalizing the practical arrangements. Everything of course needs to be tip-top so that when the ministers arrive all things will go smoothly and they can completely concentrate on the meeting and the issues at hand in the agenda.

 During the summer we will also be having evnts of our National Youth Forum. The next event will be in City of Pori during a Suomi Areena week. The Suomi Areena is a big event or actually a week of events. It is organised yearly, there are over 150 events in 20 different locations and artound 30 000 visitors.

 We will there for two days. The first day we will be going around the city having a pop up –tour. This means that we will try to meet people especially young people around the city and ask them to contribute their opinions to the Youth Forum questions. On the second day we will be for the whole day at the tent of the Finnish Youth organisation Youth Alliance. There we will be asking young people to tell us “What a good life is like?” by writing their thoughts on this subject on a specific wall. They can also join the Youth Forum e –engagement (www.nuortenideat.fi) via our portable Pads. We will also have postcards so that people can send their greetings to a friend from the Youth Forum event. Or why not write their thoughts to us also on a postcard. Which ever way we receive comments or views they will all be part of the Youth Forum and taken into account when we send the results of our national Youth Forum to the OECD:
